Strautman – newly developed Vario² mixing screw with extra wearing edge.

20.3.2017

Unique selling points in the market! Wearing parts ”INNODUR" extend the lifetime of the Vario²-mixing screws.

With the newly developed Vario²-mixing screws, a more efficient, quicker mixing of fodder is made possible. The new mixing screws are implemented in all Strautmann fodder mixing vehicles and stationary mixers.

The Vario²-mixing screws, with their unique tilting form, are particularly suited for reliable variable cutter adjustment. Contrary to widespread practice, the fodder is loosened at regular distance intervals by the edges, which allows for even faster and easier mixing. The ridges are at regular distance intervals in 90° angle on the mixing screw.

Numerous tests have been carried out to compare the winding mixing screws with the new, angular mixing screws. These have concluded that the power requirement for the angular mixing screws is significantly lower than the power requirement for the winding mixing screws. This is due to loosening the fodder at the edges.

An additional advantage that arises from switching to angular mixing screws is that it is now very easy to implement wearing parts into the mixing screw, in order to increase its lifetime. An additional advantage that arises from switching to angular mixing screws is that it is now very easy to implement wear elements into the mixing screw, in order to increase its lifetime. The ”INNODUR" wear elements are made of 5 mm thick stainless steel, are 100 mm wide and are screwed to the external contour of the mixing screw coil. Easy retrofitting is also possible since all mixing screws are equipped with the necessary holes.
